Getting to Aspen
Air
Fly direct to Aspen (airport code: ASE) from Denver or other major hubs. Most accommodations offer free airport transfers to your hotel. Uber & Lyft are available as well as taxi service. The airport is about 10-15 minutes from the town of Aspen where all the wedding festivities will take place.
Fly into Denver (airport code: DIA). You can either rent a car or contact Roaring Fork Express to shuttle you straight to your doorstep. Private options are also available. It is a 3.5 - 4 hour drive from DIA.
Fly into Eagle/Vail (airport code: EGE) or Grand Junction (airport code: GJT). Only 1.5 and 2.5 hours by car, respectively. From these airports you can either rent a car or hire a car service to Aspen.
Car
The Easy (but still scenic) Route - From Denver, take I-70 West through the magnificent Glenwood Canyon to Glenwood Springs (Exit 116). Follow the signs to turn onto Hwy 82 east into Aspen
The Scenic Route - From Denver, take I-70 West to Copper Mountain (Exit 195). Take CO-91 south to Leadville. Head south on US-24 to Twin Lakes. Follow Hwy 82 west over the winding Independence Pass into Aspen. Reaching an elevation of 12,095 feet on the Continental Divide, Independence Pass is one of the highest paved roads in the U.S., offering breathtaking views, steep switchbacks, and a narrow, thrilling drive between Twin Lakes and Aspen.
Getting Around
Downtowner
The Downtowner in Aspen is a free, on-demand, eco-friendly shuttle service operating in the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. Passengers can use the "RIDE RF" app to request rides, which are sponsored by the City of Aspen. It operates from around 10am to 10pm, providing convenient, tip-based, door-to-door transportation.
